Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

If you like authentic and flavorful mexican food, one of the best tamales I have had this is the place for you and the salsa is extremely fresh. This is not the same people that were in this building before so please give them a try you will not be disappointed, I only have a 1/2 hour for lunch and was able to be in and out so that is a plus too.

It doesn't even deserve 1 star. Totally disgusting. And, the service was deplorable. We saw our waitress once when she took the order and once when she dropped the check. I actually thought about walking out without paying, but I felt that it was my own fault for not checking Yelp.

Really super good food!!! I had the chicken fiesta salad and the chicken on it was to die for! Yum! I would recommend this place to anyone! Good service too.

By far the worst mexican restaurant I have ever been too. The food was horrible at best. I would give this place a half star but it won't let. Don't waste your time or money. Don't get the chile con queso it's like cheese soup super gross!!! And way to expensive for the quality of food they are servin

The food is good, the menu is huge and the service is amazing. We were walking around town after hitting the hot springs and stumbled into this place for margs, but ended up staying for 4 courses. Be sure to save room for the cheesecake burrito, it's awesome.

Was only in town for one night and was walking down Lincoln when I saw La Mex was cooking tacos outside so I decided to take a chance. I ordered one Asada and one Barbacoa taco. The owner was cooking and he quickly grilled the tortillas (2 per taco) and the meat on the flat iron. Once cooked, he added cilantro and onion and I grabbed some lime wedges and salsa from the bar. These were two of the best authentic tacos I've had and I eat at a lot of taquerias. The meat was moist and full of flavor. I was particularly surprised by the Asada as the meat was tender, moist and had great flavor. Often I find Asada that's been overcooked using a very cheap cut of tough meat. This was the best grilled beef I've had in a "traditional" taco. The barbacoa was bursting with flavor and the salsas were excellent also. I ordered a margarita and ate on the patio. The margarita was good, not great. All in all a fast, inexpensive, flavorful experience. This would be a regular stop for me if I lived in Steamboat.

Went here for an early dinner. Waitstaff allowed us to have our dog on the patio which was very nice. Salsa was weak and the food was mediocre. It was just pretty bland and borning.

The shredded chicken tacos are super tasty & only a $1. So that is a no brainer. The margaritas are good, I'd suggest getting a speciality one with don Julio, Parton or something of than "house." Tamales were good and so was the seafood enchilada. Some people dont like this place because they think its going to be spicy or tex-mex but are clueless what "home style Mexican" means. Salsa was also great. Shredded beef, pass on that tho.
